However, many small business owners in Taraba State lack the necessary skills and understanding to conduct thorough financial statement analysis, leading to poor financial decisions that can hinder the growth and sustainability of their businesses. This study aims to explore the role of financial statement analysis in business decision-making, focusing on small businesses in Taraba State. It will assess how financial statement analysis contributes to strategic decisions, helps mitigate financial risks, and improves the long-term viability of small businesses.

Statement of the Problem

Scope and Limitations of the Study

The study will focus on small businesses in Taraba State and their use of financial statement analysis for decision-making. Limitations include potential difficulties in accessing financial records from small businesses, as well as variations in the financial literacy levels of business owners.
